  3. Hi, what do you mean commenting on the different techniques?


    GS snatch is the technique with the most personal variations, but there are some common points.
    Unless you have freaky grip strength that is. I have seen some impressive results by people that looked like they had no clue of what they were doing. Impressive is relative of course, because world class results are something else!

    I think you should look at a top athlete of same weight as a starting point. the smoother your drop and relaxed you are when you swing, in general, the higher the results.

    As for grip there are pros and cons for each, so it all depends on your strength and weaknesses, level of fatigue and so on. Experimentation is required.

    We starting with virtual internet competitions, and will have local comps before DM.
    If interested, join the group on facebook, virtual comps are done over a video submission. Deadline for the 1st event: 25 February

    Målet med virtuelle konkurrencer at at udbrede Kettlebell Sport. Deltagerne får chance for at udvikle deres teknik, selvtillidhed og chance for at møde andre kettlebell entusiaster i Danmark. På den måde bliver det nemt at komme i gang med Kettlebell Sport, man skal bare optage sine løft i sin stue eller fitness center.

    Man Deltager i de discipliner man har lyst til og vælger selv vægten på kettlebells, fra 8 til 32kg. I hver diciplin dyster man imod alle i samme vægtklasse.

    GS Discipliner

    • 5 min Snatch (mænd og kvinder, 1 arm skift)
    • 5 min 1 arm Long Cycle (kun for kvinder, 1 arm skift)
    • 5 min Jerk (2KB, kun for mænd)
    • 5 min Long Cycle (2KB, kun for mænd)

    • 10 min 1 arm Long Cycle (mænd og kvinder, skift arm som I har lyst)
    • 10 min Snatch (mænd og kvinder, skift arm som I har lyst)
    • 5 min Bottom Up 1 arm Clean and Press (mænd og kvinder, skift arm som I har lyst. Kettlebell skal være i Bottom Up position fra “clean” til “lockout”. Benene må ikke bøjes eller bevæge sig når man kører “press”)
