  1. IMO skal han være heldig hvis han bryder top 5.

    Helt enig - Waren blev godt nok nummer 2 sidste år, men tror ikke han har for gode chancer i år.

    Hans fysik skiller sig for meget ud fra Visctor, Dexter og Phil. "Apple and oranges" som Bob altid siger det :smile:

    Rühl kan dog blive en farlig x-factor da han er så meget større end fx. Dexter og Phil. Tror at Rühl ville have haft gode chancer i dette line-up hvis det havde været Olympia...

  2. Stopper du med at spise kl. 18 feks. går du i ufatteligt mange timer uden at tilføre kroppen næringstoffer.. dette er ikke blot dumt, det sænker faktisk ogå kroppens stofskifte...

    Så en 5-6 mindre måltider med ca. 2½-3 timers mellemrum igennem dagen ca. optil sengetid så kører bussen... :wink:

    Hvad bygger du påstanden om sænkelse af kroppens stofskifte på, MASS? Så vidt jeg ved er det en "skrøne" at måltidsfrekvensen skulle have inflydelse på stofskiftet...

    Må derfor give Stubbe ret nå han skriver... :smile:

    Tidspunkter og antal af måltider har ikke betydning for stofskiftet.
  3. En af mine kammerater skulle prøve at have målt sin fedt%, og ved samme lejlighed skulle jeg da også prøve en ”tur på maskinen” :laugh:

    Det er en af denne her slags hvor man indtaster nogle data (blandt andet højde), og derefter stiller man sig med bare fødder. Så regner maskinen ens fedt% ud.

    Min kammerat havde, ifølge maskinen, en fedt% på 12,8 mens min dog var meget lavere… Den målte min fedt% til 3,4! :crazy:

    Har aldrig troet på at en maskine kunne give noget præcis resultat, men instruktøren som udførte målingen forsikrede mig om at den er meget nøjagtig. Vil derfor lige høre jeres erfaringer med denne måde at udregne fedt% på? Ved godt at jeg ikke har så meget fedt på kroppen, men 3,4 er nok ikke helt realistisk…

  4. Da jeg holdte i et lyskryds, med alt udstyret på, var det gud hjælpe mig en af de der gratis avis uddelere, der kom hen og spurgte om jeg ville have en avis. :nonono: Kan manden ikke se jeg er i fuldt cykeludstyr med musik i ørene, og bestemt ikke har tid til at læse hans avis..? :laugh:

    Du overvurderer helt klart disse menneskers evner. De har kun en mission i livet, og det er at få delt fleste mulige af de skide aviser ud. :dry:

    Har selv flere gange måtte bruge alverdens listige undvigelsesmanøvre for at slippe udenom. :tongue:

    Forresten hvordan ser kosten ud for tiden, har du valgt at gå op i kcal…?

  5. Lidt info om Andreas Munzer's død fra bogen "Muscle; A Writer's Trip Through A Sport With No Boundaries" af Jon Hotten.

    The Munich Andi would play the zugzwang. He hit some heavy cycles: he injected two ampoules of testosterone a day; he took the oral steroids Halotestin and Anabol; he combined them with Masteron and Parabolan; he used between four and 24 units of the growth hormone STH. Steroids aided muscle repair and general recovery; they allowed him to train with greater intensity. He combined different steroid types to maximum effect. He found that STH, the synthetic growth hormone, mimicked human growth hormone; it made everything grow - muscles, bones, organs, tissues. He ate 6-8,000 calories a day to nourish his muscles. He used insulin to stimulate his metabolism and churn the calories more quickly; he used at least five aspirin tablets each morning to thin his blood and help with the pain of training; he used ephedrine and Captagon to increase his intensity on the weights.

    Fifteen weeks or so from competition, he would begin a rigorous diet designed to reduce his body fat. He would come down to 2,000 calories a day. In the days and hours before a show he used Aldactone and Lasix, both diuretics, to rid himself of the last of his water. Most pros would get close to competition shape once or twice a year. Anything else demanded too much; Andi maintained a reputation for always being in shape, or close to it.

    The stomach pains had begun some months before Andi went to Columbus, Ohio, for the 1996 Arnold Classic. At first it was just more pain, and pain was the currency of muscle. Andi paid it little heed. It dug in and nestled down with all the other pain: the agonies of training, the banal deprivations of dieting down, the pulls, nicks, strains, jags and twists of the gym. But it kept coming back and its payload was different. A connoisseur of pain like Andi would soon have been able to tell. He would have been able to recognise it and rank it as something special in the pain game, something more exotic than the stuff he usually bore. He began to mention it to friends at the gym. He tried some health cures that would strengthen his stomach lining. Perhaps if Andi had quit training then, if he had turned away from the withering deprivations of another round of competition and stopped juicing he might have survived. Instead, the boy from Pack made himself ready to compete in front of the boy from Thal, in front of his hero.

    After his sixth place at the Arnold Classic on 2 March 1996, Andi's mood remained low. 'Man, why don't you laugh?' a German official had said. 'You're the best white guy behind five Negroes.' Andi was never going to laugh at that. Best white guy. Best German speaker. All of the pain and deprivation, all of the gym seminars and pain-filled nights for those worthless epithets.

    On the morning of 13 March, Andi's stomach pains became intense. His gut was swollen and hard. His bill had come in. He was fairly sure that this time he couldn't meet it. The debt was too big. The agony grew.

    He was taken to hospital. Doctors there diagnosed the bleed, but could not prevent it continuing. He was transferred to the University Clinic. At 7pm, surgeons decided to operate to stop the bleeding inside Andi's stomach. Andi came through the operation, but his problems had multiplied catastrophically. His blood was viscous and slow-moving. His potassium levels were excessively high. He had been dehydrated by the diuretics he used in the days before his last competitions. His liver was melting. A post-mortem would find that it had dissolved almost completely. Andi's body went into shock. After his liver failed, his kidneys did too. He was offered a blood transfusion, but it was too late. Andi's heart held out for a while - he had always had a big heart - but by morning Munzer had joined the ranks of the bodybuilding dead.

    Arnold Schwarzenegger sent a wreath from Hollywood to Andi's grave in Styria. The message was simple. It read: 'A last greeting to a friend.'

    Dommerne var begyndt at favorisere masse frem for symmetri, og Yates var indbegrebet af masse (sammen med Nasser El Sonbaty). Men Yates fremviste også en imponerende hårdhed. :smile:

    Ja, Flex Wheeler's form i de tidlige 90'ere var super.

    Dog vil jeg personligt mene, at hans form toppede 1997-98 da han vandt 5 shows i træk.

En af mine kammerater gnasker Läkerol konstant for der er jo næsten igen kalorier i… (siger han) Og det er da også rigtigt, at hvis man kigger på varedeklarationen så står der 120 kcal pr. 100 g. (Läkerol Salmiak). Men hvis man så kigger på protein, kulhydrat og fedt, så kan jeg altså ikke få det til 120 kcal.

    Ps. Og ja det kan vel være lige meget om der er 120 eller 220 kcal, men det er mere det principielle i, at der måske er fejl på samtlige varedeklarationener.

    Ja undskyld jeg har ikke lige læst den artikel du referere til, men kommentere lige alligevel. Jeg læser til klinisk diætist og udfra det jeg har læst/og blevet undervist i, så er der ikke evidens for at sige at man skal spise 6 gange om dagen. I princippet kan man egentlig spise alle sine kalorier til aften eller til morgen, uden det skulle have nogen betydning for vægten. Det med at stofskiftet falder, skulle først ske når man kommer meget langt ned i kalorieindtag dagligt.

    MEN MEN MEN ved at spise 6 måltider om dagen vil de fleste opnå et mere stabilt blodsukker over hele dagen, hvorved man undgår den såkaldte "ulvetime" hvor køleskabet voldtages :devil: Derudover er der sikkert også en del mennesker som vil opleve at blive mere irritable hvis de springer deres måltider over.

    Ja, det har du ret i...

    Dog skal det siges, at mange oplever en fornemmelse af mere mad ved at indtage færre men større måltider. Den psykiske effekt her spiller for mange en stor rolle...

  10. Veteranen Vince Tayler ser ud til alligevel at stille op til dette års Olympia. Han havde ellers før i år proklameret at han ville over til Wayne Demelia’s PDI, men nu kan Flex afsløre at han har underskrevet kontrakten og satser på Olympia 2006 alligevel.

    Efter at have vundet Masters Olympia 5 gange er dette nok et lidt underligt valg, men han skulle jo have økonomiske problemer :laugh:
