Fat severely delays digestion because it metabolically requires so many more processes to break down."Kan det virkelig passe at frugt ikke er godt efter træning? Godt nok skal fruktose (hvorfra størstedelen af sukker i frugt kommer fra) forbi leveren hvor det nedbrydes til glukose. Herefter vil en del af det selvfølgelig gå til genopfyldning af leverglykogenet. Dette sker fordi leverglykogen er VIGTIGERE end muskelglykogen eftersom det opretholder [blodglukose] indenfor de rammer der kræves for at ernære CNS. Nu er kroppen så ikke indrettet så den starter med at fylde leveren op, for derefter at fylde musklerne op.
